Dr Tonio Fenech was appointed Honorary Consul for Lebanon to Malta in November 2002 by the President of the Republic of Lebanon at the time, Mr Emile Lahoud.  The services offered by the Consulate include legalisations of documents, issuance of visas, passport renewals, birth and marriage registrations and translations.  We offer assistance to Lebanese Nationals as well as Maltese and other Nationals wishing to visit Lebanon.

Short CV

Dr. Tonio Fenech obtained his Masters Degree in Maritime and Aviation law from the University of London (UCL) and his Doctorate in Maltese law from the University of Malta in 1986. Coming from a legal family, he joined the family practice in 1988, and was quickly elected Managing Partner and Head of the International/Corporate Practice of the firm in 1994. In 2009, he became joint Managing Partner of the newly formed law firm of Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal, and leads the firm’s substantial Corporate/Commercial, Aviation, Financial Services and Fiduciary relationships practice departments. Dr. Fenech lectures at the University of Malta in Insurance law, the law of Trusts and Fiduciary relationships, as well as Ship Registration & Finance. He is also the coordinator of the newly established study unit with the Faculty of Law covering Aircraft registration and finance. Dr. Fenech is a Director of a number of companies, including banks and other financial institutions and the corporate and professional services companies associated with the firm. He is a member of and past President of the Malta Maritime Law Association and Maritime Law Advisory Council, Chairman of the Caravaggio Foundation as well as Board member on other foundations and initiatives connected with creativity, the arts and their application to business and entrepreneurship.
